USS BENFOLD SRA 7C1 Request for Interest

Background
The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (Detachment Everett) is issuing this Request for Interest (RFI) in support of the Department of the Navy (DON).

The purpose of this RFI is to gather information on the feasibility and industry interest in performing Selected Restricted Availability (SRA) for non-nuclear surface ships, specifically the USS BENFOLD. This initiative aims to assess potential business sources for modernization and repair requirements, which may include complex scheduled tasks related to critical systems.

Work Details
The DON seeks to ascertain industry capabilities for accomplishing various tasks associated with the SRA of the USS BENFOLD. The work may encompass but is not limited to:

- AC plant clean and overhaul
- SSGTG exhaust repairs
- Structural repairs
- Lube oil purifier clean
- Piping repairs/replacement
- MRG systems maintenance
- Waveguide replacement
- GTG uptake repairs/duct collector repairs
- Ship alterations (SHIPALTS)
- MRG casing cleaning
- VCHT repairs
- HPAC overhaul
- Tank cleaning and repair
- Flight deck safety net modernization
- CPS fan room repairs
- Slew arm davit/tilting sliding padeye adjustments.

Responders are encouraged to provide insights into their proposed project ideas or concepts related to these tasks.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the SRA is anticipated to start on November 30, 2026, and end on July 23, 2027.

Place of Performance
The contract work will be performed at Everett Naval Station in Washington.
