Background
The Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) is issuing this solicitation to procure commercial items, specifically parts for the 2A Main Propulsion Diesel Engine (MPDE) Air Exhaust Expansion Joint. The goal of this contract is to ensure the availability of new parts for maintenance and operational readiness of the USS Arlington (LPD-24). This solicitation is prepared in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP).

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide new 2A Main Propulsion Diesel Engine (MPDE) Air Exhaust Expansion Joint parts as specified in the Statement of Work (SOW). Refurbished or used parts will not be accepted. The specific requirements include:
- All parts must be new.
- Technical drawings are available upon request, contingent on Joint Certification Program (JCP) certification.
- A completed and approved DD2345 form must be submitted to access technical data.

Period of Performance
The required delivery date for all parts is January 7, 2028.

This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation will be posted to the System for Award Management at https://sam.gov/ and/or Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) at https://piee.eb.mil. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The RFQ number is N5005427Q0021. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect though FAC 2026-01 and the DFARS Change notice 20260507. The Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) requests responses from qualified sources capable of providing the 2A Main Propulsion Diesel Engine (MPDE) Air Exhaust Expansion Joint parts that are identified in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). All parts shall be new. No refurbished or used parts will be accepted.
