USPSC SRG Sr Safety & Security Advisor

Background
The United States Government (USG), represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), is seeking offers from qualified persons to provide personal services under contract as described in this solicitation. The Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) is a diverse, mission-driven team of experts leading operational readiness and excelling in the delivery of humanitarian assistance to the world’s most vulnerable populations. The Support Relief Group (SRG) program brings on board candidates who work full-time for discrete periods of time, but on an intermittent basis for no more than 2007 hours (approximately 250 days) per calendar year. The SRG Senior Safety and Security Advisor will be coordinated with the Humanitarian Access Safety and Security Team (HASST) in FARO’s Field Operations Division.

Work Details
The contractor will be required to provide safety and security advisory services, including guiding and contributing to a collaborative and effective team environment, providing technical assistance and support to BHA staff, mentoring team members, participating in critical incident management, developing safety and security plans, liaising with various elements of the humanitarian community, administering safety and security information distribution, and demonstrating consistent accountability for adherence to laws and policies. The contractor may also serve as an Agreement Officer’s Representative/Contracting Officer’s Representative (AOR/COR) as assigned.

Period of Performance
The period of performance will be within mutually agreed times as needed by BHA, not to exceed 250 days per calendar year.

Place of Performance
The place of performance will be determined by BHA based on assignment needs.
