Description

The Postal Service is seeking to identify telematics suppliers interested in responding to a Request for Information (RFI) for an advanced telematics system to monitor the USPS national motor fleet of vehicles exceeding 232,000, of which 180,000 vehicles are mail delivery vehicles. Interested suppliers must register in our eSourcing system by going to the following Supplier Registration Information site, https://about.usps.com/suppliers/becoming/registration.htm , and following the steps as directed. After registering, email both the Primary and Secondary Points of Contact as listed below, to let them know you have registered and are interested in participating.

Background
The United States Postal Service (USPS) is seeking telematics suppliers to respond to a Request for Information (RFI) for an advanced telematics system to monitor its national motor fleet of vehicles, which includes over 232,000 vehicles, with 180,000 being mail delivery vehicles. The RFI provides an opportunity for the industry to verify the reasonableness and feasibility of the program objectives as well as promote competition. The purpose of this RFI is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a commitment by the Postal Service to award a contract based on this RFI.

Work Details
The RFI outlines the background of the USPS vehicle fleet, the current state of fleet management, and the future state with the addition of a telematics system. It also specifies detailed requirements for telematics device solutions, data capability, software support & cybersecurity, and supplier customer service & support. The RFI also includes general instructions for RFI participation and evaluation scoring criteria.
