Background
The USNS PATUXENT (T-AO 201) is undergoing a Mid-Term Availability (MTA) as part of its maintenance and operational readiness. This contract is issued by the Military Sealift Command (MSC), which is responsible for providing ocean transportation for the Department of Defense. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the vessel is properly maintained and ready for future missions, adhering to strict quality and safety standards.

Work Details
The contractor shall prepare for and accomplish Voyage Repair (VR), overhaul, or alterations of the USNS PATUXENT as specified in the Work Item (WI) package provided in Attachment J-1. All work shall be performed at the contractor's shipyard unless otherwise specified. Responsibilities include:

1) Providing management, procurement, production, testing, technical capability, resources, and quality assurance services;

5) Developing a performance milestone schedule/critical path chart;

6) Using approved quality control procedures;

7) Maintaining configuration baselines for equipment and systems;

8) Managing subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with quality standards;

9) Employing sound engineering practices;

10) Ensuring all work is completed within the defined scope and timeline.

Period of Performance
The period of performance will span from the date of award until the completion of all specified work items, with an emphasis on adhering to established milestones throughout the contract duration.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed at the contractor's shipyard.
