USNS OSCAR V. PETERSON FY 27 Mid-Term Availability   2

Background
The Military Sealift Command (MSC) is issuing a contract for the Regular Mid-Term Availability of the USNS OSCAR V. PETERSON (T-AO 206). The goal of this contract is to prepare for and accomplish various maintenance tasks, including voyage repair, overhaul, or alterations as specified in the work item package. This contract aims to ensure that the vessel is maintained to operational standards and ready for deployment.

Work Details
The contractor shall perform the following tasks:

1. Prepare for and accomplish voyage repair, overhaul, or alterations of the USNS OSCAR V. PETERSON as specified in the WI package provided in Attachment J-1. All work shall be performed at the contractor's shipyard unless otherwise specified.

2. The price of CLIN 0001AA includes all Category 'A' Work Items (WIs) listed in Attachment J-2, which are scheduled for contractor planning and funded at contract award. The contractor must also manage supplemental WIs under CLIN 0001AB, which include labor and material costs for unscheduled maintenance discovered after solicitation.

3. Responsibilities include management, procurement, production, testing, technical capability, resources, quality assurance services, timely procurement of materials, progress measurement systems for work completion, and maintaining configuration control procedures. The contractor must also manage subcontractor performance to ensure quality standards are met.
