USNS Henry J Kaiser T-AO 187 ROH/DD   3

Background
The USNS HENRY J KAISER (T-AO 187) is a United States Naval Ship under the Military Sealift Command (MSC). The mission of MSC is to provide ocean transportation for the Department of Defense and other government agencies. This contract aims to prepare for and accomplish the Regular Overhaul/Dry-Docking (ROH/DD) of the USNS HENRY J KAISER, ensuring the vessel meets operational readiness and safety standards.

Work Details
The contractor shall prepare for and accomplish the ROH/DD of the USNS HENRY J KAISER as specified in the Work Item (WI) package provided in Attachment J-1. Key tasks include:

1. Management, procurement, production, testing, technical capability, resources, and quality assurance services.
2. Use of progress measurement systems to track physical progress against planned performance metrics.
3. Development of a performance milestone schedule/critical path chart to measure scheduled performance.
4. Application of quality control procedures to ensure compliance with required standards.
5. Management of subcontractors to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
6. Provisioning for staging and storing materials necessary for the availability period.
7. The contractor must demonstrate capability in ship repair work, including planning, engineering, quality control, and production testing.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a specified timeframe that includes preparation and execution phases for the ROH/DD, with detailed scheduling outlined in the contractor's proposal.

Place of Performance
The work will primarily be performed at the contractor's shipyard facilities.
