USNS Henry J Kaiser (T-AO 187) Mid-Term Availability (MTA) - Synopsis Only   3

THIS IS A SYNOPSIS NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for proposal and no contract will be awarded from this notice.

Military Sealift Command has a requirement for the upcoming Mid-Term Availability (MTA) for the USNS HENRY J. KAISER (T-AO 187). The period of performance for this requirement is on/about 8 January 2024 for a period of seventy-five (75) calendar days.

The USNS HENRY J. KAISER has a length of 677.5 ft. and a beam of 97.5 ft., an anticipated arrival draft of 20 ft. FWD and 27 ft. AFT not including a minimum draft clearance of three (3) feet beneath the keel at mean lower low water (MLLW) (tide ranges may be considered), and is 20,706 tons gross. The work is to be performed at the Contractor's facility on or about the above-mentioned dates. Area of Consideration is West Coast.

Major work items associated with this availability include: General Services For Ship, Clean And Gas Free Tanks, Voids, Cofferdams, And Spaces, Misc Steel Repairs, Bulwark Repairs , 01 Level Expansion Joints, Main Engine Clutch Maint, Renewal Main Engine Exh Stack Resilient Mounts, SSDG 24K Overhaul, PTO Clutch & Coupling, Transfer Head Sliding Block Refurbishment And Chain Replacement (5 Yr).

The estimated issue date for this solicitation is on or about 12 May 2023. Upon issuance, the solicitation and supporting documentation will be posted at (www.sam.gov) under solicitation number N32205-23-R-4226

A Sources Sought Notice was posted on SAM.gov on 06 April 2023 with a response date of 21 April 2023. As a result of said notice, this requirement will be solicited as Full and Open competition. MSC's Small Business Deputy Director, Jacqueline Alford, reviewed the market research results and concurred with the decision to procure this requirement as such on 25 April 2023. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation in response to the solicitation which shall be considered by MSC.

All requests must provide UEID number and Cage Code.

The appropriate NAICS Code is 336611. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from this potential source as a result of synopsis.
