USNS Grumman T-AO 195 MTA/DD FY25   4

Prepare for and accomplish the Midterm Availability and Dry Docking of the USNS LEROY GRUMMAN (T-AO 195) as specified in the solicitation and in accordance with the work item package. The USNS GRUMMAN has an overall length of 678 FT, a breadth of 98 FT, and a draft of 36 FT. The anticipated period of performance is 2/18/2025 to 7/23/2025. The place of performance for this contract shall be the contractor's facility. Due to operational and national security availability considerations, the location shall be East/Gulf Coast.

Major work items associated with this availability include: General Services for Ship, Clean and Gas Free Tanks and Voids, Main Deck Preservation, Pedestrian Non-Skid, Superstructure Blast and Paint AFT House, Windows and Doors re-gasketing and Steel Repairs, Steel Repairs Main Deck 01-02-06 Level, Deck Expansion Joint Repairs, Tank Steel Repairs, Steel Replacement Clean Linen Storeroom, CT Winch Room Repairs, Preservation Cargo Tank 8C, Preservation Ballast 2 P/S and 1 Deep, Preservation Pump Room Cargo Oily Waste, STBD Main Engine 12K Overhaul, STBD Main Engine Clutch and Coupling Maintenance (5 YR), STBD PTO Clutch and Coupling Eaton and Geislinger (5YR), Drydocking and Undocking The Vessel (25 YR), Pull Tailshaft and Replace Shaft Liner, Propeller System Maintenance(25 YR), and Stern Tube Seal Maintenance (25 YR).

The decision to solicit as a total small business set-aside was made from market research during Sources Sought Notice posted to SAM on May29, 2024. There is an expectation of receiving proposals from two or more small businesses. The MSC Office of Small Business and Small Business Administration Procurement Center Representative concurs.
