Background
The USNS GRASP (T-ARS 51) FY24 Mid-Term Availability (MTA) is a solicitation for the VR, overhaul, or alterations of the USNS GRASP. The work shall be performed at the contractor’s shipyard. The contractor shall prepare for and accomplish the VR, overhaul, or alterations of the USNS GRASP as specified in the WI package provided in Attachment J-1 – WI Package (Specifications).

Work Details
The work includes preparing for and accomplishing the Mid-Term Availability of the USNS GRASP as per Attachment J-1. This involves various tasks such as abrasive cleaning/blasting, welding, burning, carpentry, electronic work, lagging, boilermaking, sheetmetal work, rigging, general labor, tank cleaning, machinists (inside and outside), brazing, electrical work, shipfitting, painting, pipefitting, engineering, staging/scaffolding, fire watch and more. Additionally, it includes providing necessary management, procurement, production, testing, technical capability and resources; ensuring timely procurement of CFM/CFP; using progress measurement systems; applying quality control procedures; ensuring configuration control procedures; providing for staging and storing of material; managing all subcontractors’ performance during the availability; employing good judgment and sound engineering practice and principles.

Place of Performance
The work shall be performed at the contractor’s shipyard.
