USNS BRUNSWICK (T-EPF) Emergency Dry Docking   2

Background
This procurement is for the 120-day emergency dry docking of the USNS BRUNSWICK (T-EPF 6). The primary objective is to repair by modification the port and starboard inboard hull stress corrosion cracking though a transportation alteration.

Work Details
The contractor shall prepare for and accomplish the VR, overhaul, or alterations of the USNS BRUNSWICK (T-EPF 6) as specified herein and IAW the WI package as provided in Attachment J-1 – WI Package (Specifications). The work includes providing necessary management, procurement, production, testing, technical capability and resources, and quality assurance services. It also involves using progress measurement systems, management procedures to identify behind-schedule conditions, developing a performance milestone schedule/critical path chart, applying quality control procedures, ensuring configuration control procedures are maintained for procured material and production work, staging and storing material, managing all subcontractors’ performance during the availability, employing good judgment and sound engineering practice and principles, performing work within its own facilities or subcontracting for elements beyond its capability or capacity, possessing industry certifications such as MSRA, ABR, or ISO Certification. The technical factors include understanding the WI Package, ability to perform the WI Package including man-hour estimates by department and growth absorption estimation. The contractor must also submit a Berth Chart, Approach Chart, Mooring Chart that complies with the requirements set forth in WI 0003.

Period of Performance
The period of performance is for 120 days.

Place of Performance
This is an east coast based availability. Unless otherwise specified, all work shall be performed at the contractor’s shipyard.
