USMC - MCIEAST Maintenance Support Services - MRAS

The United States Marine Corps (USMC), in collaboration with the General Services Administration (GSA), is conducting market research to explore capabilities related to providing maintenance support services for telecommunications infrastructure. This initiative is focused on the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station New River, both located in North Carolina. The primary objective of this contract is to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of Infinera/Tellabs Optical Transport Networks (OTN) and Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) systems, which serve as critical components of the telecommunication backbone at these installations.

The scope of work involves providing non-personal support services that include technical assistance, extended technical assistance services, return and repair replacement service, and remote diagnostics for the Infinera/Tellabs DWDM/GPON equipment. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all necessary personnel, management, transportation, materials, parts, supplies, and equipment required for maintaining these systems. Additionally, the contractor must provide both remote and on-site maintenance services as needed to address routine technical issues as well as emergency situations.

Key responsibilities under this contract include ensuring 24/7 access to the Infinera/Tellabs Technical Assistance Center for resolving service-affecting troubles. The contractor must also manage all technical publications and manuals related to the equipment. Furthermore, they are expected to track each service request through a ticketing system that facilitates efficient reference and resolution. By securing these comprehensive support services, MCIEAST G-6 aims to uphold seamless telecommunication operations crucial for mission success at Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River.
