Description

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) is conducting market research on behalf of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) to identify potential contractors for an Audio Visual and Video Teleconference (AV/VTC) system maintenance service requirement at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. The overarching goal of this contract is to ensure the seamless operation of AV/VTC systems installed in Building 1, which support various office spaces, conference rooms, and other critical areas within the base. This initiative is part of a broader effort to maintain high standards of communication technology that facilitate efficient operations and communication across the Marine Corps installations.

The scope of work involves providing preventive maintenance services for both software and hardware components of AV/VTC systems. Contractors will be responsible for ensuring a four-hour response time for service calls and completing repairs or replacements within 48 hours if equipment fails. Additionally, they must provide necessary software patches to comply with Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Navy (DoN), and USMC security mandates such as Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) and Bulletins (IAVB). The contractor must also offer 24/7 live support via telephone, testing, evaluation, and monitoring services for all AV/VTC systems.

To meet these requirements effectively, contractors are expected to have technicians trained to handle specific brand-name software/hardware as listed in the accompanying attachment. They will be tasked with maintaining a wide array of equipment including displays, VTC codecs, cameras, control systems like Crestron controllers, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, digital signage systems among others. The contract will cover existing government-installed equipment across multiple designated rooms within Building 1.

Moreover, user training forms a crucial aspect of this requirement where vendors are expected to provide operational support activities aimed at improving end-user interaction with AV/VTC environments. This includes room-specific operational walkthroughs and familiarization sessions with touch panels and conferencing workflows. Technical training for government personnel will also be provided to ensure basic understanding and troubleshooting capabilities related to system operations.
