USFWS GLNFH Smolt Marking Temporary Staffing Services

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) Green Lake National Fish Hatchery (GLNFH) requires a contractor to provide labor necessary to mark an estimated 104,000 juvenile Atlantic Salmon (smolts) that will be produced and stocked annually for three years as part of a fish passage study on the Penobscot River. The period of performance is anticipated to start February 1, 2024, through November 30, 2025, and during that period, there will be three work windows. Each work window will be two weeks long and throughout each week, the Contractor shall provide nine (9) people ("Fish Markers") to mark Atlantic Salmon (smolts) with a fin clip under the guidance and direction of the USFWS's Green Lake NFH Assistant Manager ("Project Lead"). The work is estimated to take 360 people hours to complete for each work week period. Work will be performed at Green Lake NFH, 1 Hatchery Way, Ellsworth, ME 04605-3502.
