This solicitation is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.
A firm fixed price construction contract is anticipated to be awarded under Sealed Bidding in FAR
Part 14.

Site Visit is scheduled for 8/13/2025 at 10:00AM meeting at:
525 S. Loop 288 Suite C-1
Denton, TX 76205

A bid guarantee shall be 20% of the bid price or $3 Million, whichever is less.

The estimated magnitude of the project is between $1,250,000 and $1,750,000

*Site work will be completed one at a time, finish one site requried work then will move on to the other site to begin work.

The upstream wave berm repair of Site 11 will consist of stripping and stockpiling the topsoil from the embankment eroded area; performing excavation and earthfill activities to achieve the specified rock riprap subgrade; placing and anchoring geotextile fabric on the approved subgrade; placing rock riprap to the required thickness and limits as shown in the construction drawings; backfilling the toe of the rock riprap with earthen materials; blending the earthwork above the rock riprap into the existing embankment; establishing vegetation; and reconstructing the fence above the rock riprap.

The existing, constructed plunge basin has experienced erosion along the side slopes of the basin and outlet channel. To prevent/retard future erosion, the basin will be armored with a 2 feet thick blanket of rock riprap.

Background
This solicitation is issued by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) for construction services to repair Hickory Creek Dam Site 11 and Site 14 located in Denton County, Texas.

The goal of the contract is to address erosion issues and restore the structural integrity of the dams, ensuring their functionality and safety.

Work Details
The work includes the following tasks for both Site 11 and Site 14:

- Stripping and stockpiling topsoil from eroded areas;
- Performing excavation and earthfill activities to achieve a specified rock riprap subgrade;
- Placing and anchoring geotextile fabric on the approved subgrade;
- Placing rock riprap to required thickness as shown in construction drawings;
