Description

Background
The USDA Forest Service is seeking to improve the IT infrastructure at the Hebgen Lake Ranger District Office located in West Yellowstone, MT. This contract aims to enhance network cabling and IT room facilities to meet basic IT requirements, ensuring efficient operation and management of technology resources within the facility. The acquisition is set aside for small business concerns, with a focus on providing opportunities for smaller contractors.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Installation of a fire-rated plywood backboard (4’x8’) secured to the wall.
- Installation of a wall-mounted IT cabinet from specified sizes (20"x24"x22", 25"x24"x26.5", or 42"x24"x36") with modifications allowed for secure access and installation of accessories including cable management and power distribution components.
- Grounding work including installation of a copper telecommunications ground bus bar and bonding to the building's grounding system.
- Provision of a dedicated 120VAC 20amp AC circuit if not already present, including installation of a receptacle in the cabinet back box.
- Supply and installation of an appropriately sized Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and an 8-outlet Power Distribution Unit (PDU).
- Installation of 51 new Category 6 structured cabling runs throughout the building, including cabling supports, pathway systems, patch panels, termination hardware, and labeling. All cabling must be home-run back to the new data cabinet for proper management.
- Conducting full testing and certification upon completion of installation, including Level III certification testing for all Category 6 cabling and delivery of electronic test reports.
- Removal and disposal of all unnecessary cabling.

Period of Performance
The contractor must begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving award notice and complete it within 60 calendar days.
