USDA Forest Service Flathead National Forest - Ashley Lake North Campground Renovation

Background
The USDA Forest Service is issuing this solicitation for the renovation of the Ashley Lake North Campground, located in the Flathead National Forest. The goal of this contract is to enhance the campground facilities to better serve the public and improve overall visitor experience. This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns, with a focus on supporting local economies and ensuring that small businesses have access to federal contracting opportunities.

Work Details
The contract involves extensive renovation work at the Ashley Lake North Campground, including: relocating camping spurs, constructing new camping spurs, building a new access road, creating new fire ring and picnic sites, establishing an overflow parking area, constructing new walking paths, and developing a new well and campground water system.

Specific tasks include: clearing and grubbing; excavation for parking areas, roads, and walking paths; removal and salvage of existing fire rings; installation of new picnic area structures; installation of a precast concrete vault toilet; hauling and placing barrier rock; placing surface course aggregate; seeding and mulching disturbed areas; and all other indirect items necessary to complete the project as per contract documents. The contractor will be allowed to fully close all portions of the campground to the public during construction.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from September 15, 2026, to October 30, 2027.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will take place at Ashley Lake North Campground in Flathead County, Montana.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet specific requirements including being classified as a small business (Total Small Business Set-Aside). Contractors are required to provide performance and payment bonds. Additionally, bidders must demonstrate relevant experience in similar projects and possess necessary contractor licenses.
