USCGC Harry Claiborne fuel tank cleaning service   2

Background
The U.S. Coast Guard, specifically the Operational Logistics Command (LOG-9), Regional Contracting Southeast (LOG-93), is seeking to acquire services for cleaning and inspecting fuel tanks onboard the USCG Harry Claiborne. This contract aims to ensure the proper maintenance and safety of diesel storage and overflow tanks, which is critical for operational readiness. The solicitation is set aside for small businesses.

Work Details
The contractor will provide services to clean and inspect the following tanks:

- Diesel Storage 3-24-1-F (capacity: 6,247 gallons)
- Diesel Storage 3-24-2-F (capacity: 6,247 gallons)
- Diesel Overflow 3-35-2-F (capacity: 696 gallons)

Specific tasks include:
1. Cleaning and inspecting diesel storage and overflow tanks in accordance with the Statement of Work.
2. Removing up to 5,000 gallons of diesel fuel while documenting a complete chain of custody from removal to final disposal.
3. Disposing of removed fluids in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
4. Installing protective measures as per SFLC Std Spec 0000.
5. Handling interferences such as fuel piping and tank access covers during the cleaning process.
6. Providing support for Coast Guard personnel during refueling operations by setting up containment booms around the cutter.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is a one-time service scheduled from January 7, 2025, through February 24, 2025.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the USCG IPF Galveston located at 3000 Ft Point Rd, Galveston TX 77550.
