Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail)
This opportunity for USCG Base Kodiak Recycling Services appears to have a confirmed incumbent, with multiple prior awards to Nick's Auto Wrecking, Salvage And Metal Recycling for recyclable material receipt and processing at Base Kodiak, Alaska. Prior contract work includes recycling collection and disposal/recycling services at the base and handling scrap metal and other recyclable streams (e.g., vehicles/electronic waste, tires, and cardboard/paper/plastics), which aligns closely with the current BPA’s PWS requirements for collecting recyclables, sorting/processing to regulatory standards, transporting to processing/disposal facilities, and providing compliant reporting. The repeated awards covering similar recycling categories and base-level service delivery suggest continuity of the same operational need.
