USCG Academy IT Services

Background
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Office of Contract Operations (CG-912) requires a nine-month extension of an existing firm-fixed-price Task Order awarded under GSA Schedule GS-35F-0646S (Task Order 70Z02320FPFD77700) to Knight Point Systems LLC.

This extension maintains vital IT support services for the USCG Academy’s academic and administrative functions in a higher education and military environment while the pre-award package for a new competitive follow-on contract is finalized following COVID-19 related delays in updating the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

Work Details
Provide continuous IT support for the USCG Academy’s .edu domain and ancillary CyberNet network in support of academic majors including Cyber Systems.

Services encompass four major areas:
- Administrative Systems support
- Application Support Services
- Help Desk services
- Ship Control and Navigation Training System (SCANTS) support

Specific tasks include:
- Student, faculty, and staff training
- System and network administration and maintenance
- Management of custom government-owned contractor-developed software
- Ticket queue administration
- Overall computer support to ensure uninterrupted coursework, research, capstone projects, and rapid response to hardware/software failures.

Sole source extension to Knight Point Systems LLC as the only GSA Multiple Award Schedule holder (GS-35F-0646S) with proven performance supporting the unique USCG Academy .edu domain network, custom software, and CyberNet educational infrastructure at the required quality level.
