Background
The USAID Zambia Business Enabling Project aims to promote greater gender equality and inclusive private sector investment and trade in rural areas. The project focuses on strengthening select Zambian government and civil society organizations to implement improved policies and processes for economically viable and gender-balanced rural enterprises.

It seeks to create an enabling environment that encourages productive investments in sectors such as trade, agriculture, energy, eco-tourism, and sustainable natural resource management.

Work Details
The contractor will provide technical services as outlined in the Request for Proposals (RFP) for the USAID Business Enabling Project. This includes supporting the implementation of streamlined policies and processes that facilitate private sector investment in rural areas.

The contractor is expected to engage with local partners, particularly those meeting the criteria of a local partner as defined by USAID regulations. The project anticipates a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee contract with an estimated total cost ranging from $14,000,000 to $16,000,000 over a maximum period of five years.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a maximum period of performance of five years.
