USAFA - Grounds Maintenance Services   3

Background
The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) is issuing this solicitation for Grounds Maintenance Services as part of its mission to maintain a clean and professional environment on its campus. The goal of the contract is to ensure that grounds maintenance is performed effectively, promoting the growth of healthy grass, trees, shrubs, and plants while presenting a neat appearance. This contract is set aside for the 8(a) program, aimed at supporting small businesses.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide non-personal services including all personnel, equipment, tools, supervision, and other necessary items to perform grounds maintenance at USAFA. Specific tasks include:

1. Maintain Improved Grounds: Mowing, edging, trimming, weed control, irrigation management, debris removal, leaf removal, lawn conditioning, pest control, lawn renovation, pruning of shrubs and hedges.

2. Maintain Semi-Improved Grounds: Additional mowing and trimming along the base perimeter fence line.

3. Maintain Bird Area Strike Hazard (BASH): Mowing and coordination with airfield operations.

4. Maintain Un-Improved Grounds: Trash and debris removal.

5. Maintain Vegetative Beds and Related Areas: Care for various types of beds including rock beds.

6. Perform Snow/Ice Removal: Including basic services and ice control measures. The contractor must also comply with quality control measures and ensure adherence to safety regulations throughout the performance period.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from November 1, 2025 to December 31, 2030.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the United States Air Force Academy located in Colorado.
