Description

The United States Air Force (USAF), in collaboration with the General Services Administration (GSA), is conducting market research to explore potential business sources for providing systems engineering and integration services. This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Department of the Air Force's Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communications & Battle Management (C3BM) to enhance mission planning capabilities. The focus is on developing and maintaining advanced Mission Planning Systems (MPS) that support a wide range of Department of Defense (DoD) platforms by leveraging technical solutions and business practices.

The primary work involves supporting both U.S. and Foreign Military Sales platforms through system engineering and integration tasks related to MPS sustainment, modernization, architecture upgrades, security patches, and cybersecurity. The scope also includes integrating these systems with other DAF Battle Network efforts to ensure seamless operation across various military branches. A key aspect of this work is enabling Agile software development through Development Security Operations (DevSecOps), allowing rapid adaptation to changing requirements in mission planning processes.

Moreover, this initiative aims to deliver integrated and interoperable mission planning capabilities that are crucial for optimizing flight routes, managing weaponry and fuel logistics, assessing threats, and conducting dynamic in-flight re-planning. The Systems Engineering and Integration Contractor will play a vital role in providing infrastructure support across the Mission Planning Enterprise. This includes access to secure networks like SIPRNet & JWICS to ensure that U.S. warfighters have reliable tools at their disposal for effective mission execution.
