USAF - Robins AFB, GA Housekeeping and Laundry Cleaning Services - MRAS

The General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the United States Air Force (USAF), is conducting market research to identify potential contractors capable of providing comprehensive housekeeping and laundry services at the Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) Alert Facility located at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. The primary goal of this contract is to ensure that the facility maintains a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene, contributing to the overall operational readiness and comfort of personnel stationed there.

The scope of work for this contract includes a wide range of services that ensure both laundry and housekeeping needs are met efficiently. Contractors are required to provide all necessary personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and transportation needed for the execution of these services. Specifically, laundry duties encompass tasks such as pickup and delivery, washing, drying, folding, protective retreatment services for various organizational items like bedspreads, sheets, blankets, towels, and more. These items must be returned free from visible dirt or odors and should have a uniform appearance once processed.

In addition to laundry services, the contractor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the AFGSC facility. This involves cleaning guest rooms and common areas by sweeping, mopping, waxing floors; dusting furniture; sanitizing appliances; emptying wastebaskets; polishing metal fixtures; cleaning windows; and disinfecting lavatories. The contractor must also manage supplies effectively by notifying supervisors when restocking is necessary or when equipment requires maintenance or replacement.

The work environment demands physical stamina as it involves handling heavy equipment like industrial scrubbers or buffers and maneuvering carts loaded with laundry or waste materials. Conditions may vary from indoor settings to occasional outdoor tasks under potentially hazardous conditions due to slippery surfaces or strong cleaning agents. Contractors must be prepared for short-notice cleaning requests in addition to regular weekly schedules while ensuring minimal customer complaints regarding service quality.
