USAF - Offutt AFB, NE Field House Rafter Cleaning and Sanitizing - MRAS

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the United States Air Force (USAF), is conducting market research to identify potential contractors capable of performing a comprehensive cleaning and sanitizing service at the Offutt Fieldhouse, located at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. The primary goal of this initiative is to ensure that all surfaces within the fieldhouse, including walls, rafters, fencing, netting, and riser roofs, are thoroughly cleaned and free from dust, cobwebs, and dirt. This effort is part of a broader commitment by the USAF to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in its facilities.

The scope of work for this project involves cleaning approximately 6.38 million cubic feet of space within the fieldhouse. Contractors will be required to use specialized equipment such as dust mops, vacuums, dust containment systems, and at least one extra-large PAS 2400 Air Scrubber to ensure that all surfaces are effectively sanitized. The cleaning process must be conducted systematically from top to bottom across various areas: approximately 80,000 square feet of wall space including riser roofs and air returns; about 30,000 square feet of netting used for separating different sections within the fieldhouse; and roughly 250,000 square feet of rafters located in the roof area.

In addition to removing dust and cobwebs from elevated surfaces such as walls and rafters, contractors must also ensure that any debris collected during the cleaning process is effectively captured using vacuums or other containment systems before it settles on floors or equipment below. This meticulous approach aims not only to enhance the overall cleanliness but also to improve air quality within the facility by reducing airborne particulates.
