USAF - Hanscom AFB, MA Field Renovations - MRAS

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the United States Air Force (USAF), is conducting market research to identify potential contractors capable of executing a renovation project at Hanscom Air Force Base. The primary goal of this initiative is to upgrade athletic Fields #1 and #4, ensuring they meet the Air Force's rigorous standards for safety, playability, and durability. This effort underscores the USAF's commitment to providing high-quality facilities that support fitness and sports programs for its personnel.

The renovation project involves comprehensive work that includes providing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and other incidental resources. Contractors are required to adhere strictly to performance-based requirements outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). This entails compliance with standards established by the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center (AFIMSC), including specific dimensions and markings as dictated by various sports governing bodies. Additionally, adherence to Air Force Instruction 34-114 regarding fitness and sports programs, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, and relevant manufacturer specifications is mandatory.

These verified measurements must be included in a detailed Work Plan submitted for approval.
