USAF - Fire Protection HMT Course - MRAS

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the United States Air Force (USAF), is conducting market research to identify potential contractors capable of providing specialized training services for fire protection personnel at Whiteman Air Force Base. This initiative aligns with the USAF's goals of ensuring that its personnel are well-trained and equipped to handle hazardous materials effectively, enhancing safety and operational readiness within the base. The GSA's involvement in this process underscores a commitment to leveraging government resources efficiently to meet critical military training needs.

The contract entails delivering a comprehensive Hazardous Materials: Technician course tailored specifically for up to fourteen fire protection personnel stationed at Whiteman AFB. The course is expected to encompass a minimum of 50 instructional hours and will be conducted on-site at the base, ensuring that participants can engage in practical, hands-on exercises integral to their learning experience. The contractor must provide fully certified and qualified instructors who can deliver high-quality instruction and facilitate these exercises, thereby ensuring that all participants gain the necessary skills and knowledge.

In addition to course delivery, the contractor is responsible for supplying all student materials, including complete textbook packages for each participant, as well as necessary documentation such as sign-in rosters, course outlines, and training schedules before the course commencement. Certification is a crucial component of this training program; therefore, the contractor must administer certification testing that meets accredited standards such as Pro-Board or IFSAC. Successful students will receive official certification certificates upon passing the final examination. Furthermore, a detailed report on course completion and certification status must be provided to Whiteman AFB's point of contact within 14 days after completing the course.
