USAF - AFRL Electrical Equipment and Maintenance Services - MRAS

The United States Air Force (USAF), through the General Services Administration (GSA), is conducting market research to identify capable contractors for a comprehensive Electrical Equipment Operation and Maintenance Services contract. This initiative supports the Air Force Research Laboratory's (AFRL) Aerospace Systems Directorate at Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Ohio. The primary mission of the AFRL's Research Operations Support Branch is to provide critical engineering, project management, and technical services that support research and development (R&D) activities in aircraft propulsion and air vehicle systems.

The scope of work outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) includes an extensive range of services related to electrical equipment and systems. Contractors are expected to perform tasks such as planning, acquisition, operation, maintenance, installation, removal, and repair of electrical systems at the AFRL/RQ site. This involves maintaining low and medium voltage electrical systems across 49 buildings at WPAFB Area B. The contractor will manage over 100,000 horsepower of rotating equipment and maintain a diverse array of electrical components including medium voltage cubicles, motors of various types and ages, motor control cabinets, transformers, circuit breakers, wiring, and cabling.

Key responsibilities include ensuring operational support for RQ's research electrical distribution and load requirements. The contract emphasizes non-personal services in compliance with FAR Part 37 provisions. Contractors must uphold industry standards while adhering to government-specific technical guidelines for scheduled and unscheduled work.
