Description

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the United States Air Force (USAF), is conducting market research to identify potential contractors capable of providing comprehensive support services for the Air Force Medical Command (AFMEDCOM). The primary goal of this initiative is to enhance the USAF's medical capabilities in response to Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) threats. This effort aligns with broader national security objectives, including the National Security Strategy and National Defense Strategy, by ensuring that AFMEDCOM can deliver trusted medical care anytime and anywhere.

The scope of work involves a performance-based, non-personal advisory and assistance services contract aimed at supporting AFMEDCOM's A4/10C programs. Contractors are expected to provide a full range of technical and analytical support for organizational medical CBRN requirements. This includes readiness assessments, consequence management strategies, and the provision of both installation/homeland and expeditionary/deployed medical responses under the Air Force Medical All Hazards Support concept. The contractor will be required to offer expertise in medical CBRN defense and contribute to developing policies that enhance preparedness against conventional and non-conventional threats.

Contractors will be responsible for various tasks such as ensuring compliance with Department of War (DoW) Health Affairs policies, facilitating strategic partnerships with sister services and federal agencies, and contributing to a broader understanding of emergency response capabilities against CBRN threats. Additionally, they must manage communications effectively between contractor personnel and government representatives while adhering to guidelines related to training requirements such as HIPAA & Privacy Act Training, Cyber Awareness Training, Operations Security Awareness Training, and Controlled Unclassified Information.
