Description

The Headquarters Air Combat Command (HQ ACC) Directorate of Strategic Plans, Programs Requirements, and Assessments (A5/8/9) is engaged in a critical initiative to enhance its combat airpower capabilities. In collaboration with the General Services Administration (GSA), the Air Force is conducting market research to identify potential contractors capable of fulfilling their IT and security support needs. The overarching goal of this effort is to ensure that programs, facilities, and networks effectively support mission requirements by providing robust Information Technology (IT) and security services.

The scope of work involves a comprehensive array of tasks centered around client-level information technology support functions. Contractors are expected to manage hardware and software components, perform configuration management, troubleshoot issues, and adhere to safety standards while ensuring system operations are restored promptly. This includes installing and configuring software operating systems and applications as well as providing end-user support for the operation, restoration, and configuration of information systems. Additionally, contractors will be responsible for managing client user accounts while reporting security incidents and executing corrective security procedures.

Beyond IT-related tasks, contractors are also required to oversee voice network functions which involve managing telephone hardware configurations including adds, moves, changes, basic troubleshooting between the wall outlet to the client device. This role necessitates removing and replacing instruments as needed while maintaining rigorous security standards through incident reporting and execution of corrective procedures.

Furthermore, contractors will play a vital role in organizational sustainment activities which include establishing work standards for preventative maintenance actions. They will determine repair feasibility for malfunctioning equipment while ensuring compliance with technical data instructions. The contractor's responsibilities extend to supporting inspection teams evaluating base or command sustainment programs as well as coordinating repairs documentation effectively.
