USACE - Pressure Washing Project - MRAS

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), is conducting market research to gather information on potential contractors capable of executing a comprehensive pressure washing project. This initiative is part of USACE's ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance the structural integrity and aesthetic appearance of its facilities, specifically within the Mission Support Battalion located in Alexandria, VA. The primary goal is to ensure that all designated buildings meet high standards of cleanliness while adhering to environmentally responsible practices.

The scope of work outlined in this solicitation involves the thorough power washing of exterior brick walls and surrounding hard surfaces for several buildings within the USACE Mission Support Battalion, including Bldg.2592 CUDE & Annex, Bldg.2593 Kingman, Bldg.2594 Casey, and Bldg.2596 Meadow Hall. This project also includes re-caulking joints as necessary to maintain structural integrity and prevent water ingress. Contractors are expected to perform these tasks during normal working hours without disrupting facility operations.

Key tasks under this contract include inspecting all exterior walls for heavy staining or damage, protecting non-masonry surfaces from potential cleaning-related damage, pre-treating heavily soiled areas with biodegradable solutions approved for use on brick masonry, and executing a uniform cleaning process across all surfaces including corners and crevices. The contractor must provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to achieve these objectives effectively while complying with Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) standards.
