Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Northwestern Division, in collaboration with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 2, is issuing this Pre-placed Remedial Action Contract (PRAC) to support hazardous, toxic, and radioactive waste (HTRW) remediation projects for both civilian and military agencies of the Federal Government.

The contract aims to facilitate environmental response actions mandated by various programs including the Defense Environmental Restoration Program (DERP), Superfund, and other environmental compliance initiatives under federal laws.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a wide range of remedial action services at hazardous waste sites. Key tasks include:
- Environmental removal actions and remedial actions.
- Excavation, transportation, and disposal of hazardous, toxic, or low-level radiological waste.
- Construction and operation of groundwater treatment facilities including structures and treatment equipment.
- Dredging and treatment of contaminated sediments.
- Installation and operation of in situ treatment technologies such as air sparging and chemical oxidation.
- Remediation related to munitions constituents and mine waste reclamation.
- Installation/service connections for water lines and well head treatment systems.
- Erosion control and stormwater management for compliance purposes.

Supporting activities include sampling and laboratory analysis, installation of monitoring wells, preparation of work plans, construction completion reports, public relations activities, and demolition.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over an extended period as determined by task orders issued under the contract.

Place of Performance
The majority of the work is anticipated to be conducted within EPA Region 2; however, work may also be approved for other USACE districts.
