Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office requires a contract for Houston Ship Channel, Texas, Sims to Turning Basin (TB) and Light Draft Channel in Harris County, Texas. The work consists of deep and shallow draft maintenance dredging of the Houston Ship Channel (HSC) Sims to Turning Basin and Light Draft Channel. Work Details
The work consists of deep and shallow draft maintenance dredging of the Houston Ship Channel (HSC) Sims to Turning Basin (Schedule 1 and Options 1-2). Schedule 1 includes dredging of approximately 713,000 cubic yards (CY) between Sims Bayou and the Main Turning Basin of the HSC. Option 1 is for maintenance dredging of the HSC Light Draft Channel for approximately 48,000 CY, Option 2 is for maintenance dredging of the Port of Houston docks located at Manchester and Turning Basin for approximately 390,000 CY. All material will be taken to House Tract Placement Area.
Completion Time for Schedule No. 1 for this project is estimated at 247 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Completion time for all Options if awarded is estimated at 187 calendar days.
