Background
The Naval Surface Warfare Center - Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) is responsible for research, development, test and evaluation, engineering, and fleet support for the Navy’s ships, submarines, military watercraft, and unmanned vehicles. The requirement is for NSWCPD Code 422 Diesel Engine Branch, responsible for diesel engines within the U.S. Navy Fleet, including the SSBN/GN 726 and SSN 688 ship classes.

Work Details
The scope of work includes providing technical assistance and inspecting and repairing the USS Michigan (SSGN 727) Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) by inspecting and preparing a new GFI crankshaft flexible coupling for the Michigan, fabricating oversized fitted bolts for crankshaft flexible coupling flanges, installing a new crankshaft flexible coupling, providing technical oversight for engine to generator recoupling and alignment, developing and submitting a project plan with critical and measurable task milestones, maintaining an objective quality evidence (OQE) record for inspections and measurements. It also involves providing all labor, materials, equipment, special tools and technical expertise necessary to perform various tasks related to inspecting new GFI crankshaft flexible coupling and fabricating crankshaft flexible coupling bolts based on as-found crankshaft and rotor shaft coupling hole diameters.

Period of Performance
The place of performance for this Task Order shall be at Naval Base Guam and at the Contractor’s facility in Beloit, WI.
