1. Product Description
Acquire consumable Urban Search & Rescue (USR) vehicles, trailers, and
buses to meet minimum inspection standards outlined in Technical Evaluation.
The annual requirement for the vehicles per period of performance are:
1.1 Eight hundred (800) vehicles, NTE 10,000 lbs., of which 70% must be 4 door cars,
15% must be two door cars and 15% must be pickup, SUV's and van type vehicles.
These vehicles are required to execute Urban Search Rescue (US&R) vehicle
rescue/extraction training. This requirement is command directed in support of two
approved TRADOC Course Administrative Data documents. See salient characteristics
for details on condition(s) of these vehicles when delivered.
1.2 Five (5) 44 passenger school buses with no engine and transmission. See salient
characteristics for details on required condition of these buses when delivered.
1.3 Three (3) 44 passenger school buses with engines and transmissions. See salient
characteristics for details on condition(s) of these buses when delivered.
1.4 Two (2) Class 8 semi-tractor trucks. See salient characteristics for details on
condition(s) of these two vehicles when delivered.
1.5 One (1) Standard Box Trailer, 45 to 53' in length. See salient characteristics for
details on condition(s) of this trailer when delivered.
1.6 One (1) Fuel Tanker Trailer with a minimum of 7,500 gal Capacity. See salient
characteristics for details on condition(s) of these vehicles when delivered.
1.7 Pickup of up to eight hundred (800) vehicles, eight (8) each 44 passenger buses,
two (2) semi-tractor trucks, a box trailer and fuel tanker a year.
Vehicle requirements described in Paragraph 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 1.5, 1.6 and 1.7 are required
to execute Urban Search Rescue (US&R) heavy vehicle rescue/extraction training. This
requirement is command directed in support of two approved TRADOC Course
Administrative Data documents.
NOTE: Solicitation is attached.
NOTE: Vendor(s) provide vehicles and buses that will remain with the Government for
its life cycle only. The life cycle is define as: once all the doors, roof, and tunneling
debris have been remove, the parts will be store inside the vehicle/bus and becomes
unsuitable for rescue and extraction training. After the vehicle/bus has reach its life
cycle, the Contractor will be notify by email or phone and will be require to remove the
vehicle(s)/bus(s) within 21 days of notification from TA 235. There will be significant
damage (to varying degrees) to all exterior and interior body portions.
NOTE: Vendor provide trucks and trailers that will remain with the Government.
