1. Only proposals from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or its authorized dealer(s)/distributor(s) will be accepted for this procurement. Contractor's must be able to provide traceability back to the OEM

3. The solicitation should be released to the web on or about 10 October 2023. Once available, the solicitation can be downloaded from sam.gov.

4. Proposals will be due on or about 9 November 2023. Please see the solicitation (when posted) for actual proposal due date.

The Upgraded Slip Ring Assembly (USRA) with Container is a kit that contains the Ring Assembly, Elect and the long-term storage container.

The item is used on the M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank. The USRA is the power, fluid, electrical and pneumatic conduit between the vehicles hull and turret. It provides constant transfer of electrical power, fluid power, signals and pneumatic (low-pressure) air from the hull allowing the turret to rotate 360 degrees continuously. There is a requirement for Legacy Hydraulic and Pneumatic capability along with the addition of increased power, Controller Area Network, Gigabit Ethernet, Isolation for Communications, and RF signal transfer.
