Background
The Federal Protective Service (FPS) is the federal law enforcement agency responsible for the protection and security of federal facilities, employees, and visitors. The agency actively works to reduce security vulnerabilities of federal facilities from criminal, terrorist, accidental, and natural disaster threats to ensure properties remain safe, secure, and available to the American public and employees of the federal Government. The work occurs at Richard Bolling Federal Building which is listed on the National Register. All follow Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation.

Work Details
The purpose of this contract is to upgrade the Video Surveillance System (VSS) at the Richard Bolling Federal Building in Kansas City, MO. The existing system consists of three Digital Video Recorders (DVR), eighteen fixed cameras, twelve pan tilt zoom (PTZ) cameras, two 42” monitors, three 19” monitors, and one controller.
The proposed new system will consist of a Network Video Management System (NVMS) and associated software and licensing, an upgrade from outdated analog cameras to newer technology Internet Protocol (IP) cameras, four client workstations for viewing live and recorded video, network switches, and all additional equipment necessary for a fully functional IP based NVMS system.
The system will monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic, parking areas, personnel entry and exits, emergency exits, intake vents, and the exterior perimeter of the facility.

The contract will be performed at Richard Bolling Federal Building located at 601 East 12th Street in Kansas City, Missouri.
