Up Cut Saws

Background
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) to establish a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order for Up Cut Saws. This requirement is specifically for DLA Distribution San Diego, CA. The acquisition is not rated under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS). The solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside.

Work Details
The contract requires the delivery of one Up Cut Saw that meets the following specifications:

- Electrical operation: 230 volt, 3 phase, 60 cycle
- Blade: 24” diameter carbide tipped
- Motor: 10hp TEFC arbor drive motor
- Control: 24VDC control for pushbutton operation via PLC
- Angle set: Manual angle set
- Cutting capability: Capable of cuts up to 75 degrees from left or right side of 0 degrees
- Drive: Banded 3 V-Belt Drive
- Safety features: Saw access door with safety switch; Automatic clamping of material before cutting; Safety Interlock Kit for material positioning system (Tiger Stop)
- Feed: Right side feed
- In-feed table dimensions: 120” long X 12” wide galvanized roller conveyor with a high fence rail and includes support leg and machine mounting brackets.
- Out-feed table dimensions: 192” long X 20” wide with programmable Tiger Stop made from solid steel; includes support leg and machine mounting brackets.
- Material positioning system: Programmable with a working length of 12ft; Gang Stop to extend range from 9” – 24”.
- Air Supply prep package with filter, regulator, and shut-off valve.

Additionally, installation of equipment and an eight-hour training block for up to four personnel are required. All freight charges must be included in the quote.
