The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) awarded a Hybrid Cost Plus Fixed Fee and Firm Fixed Price contract to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Hardware, Operational and Maintenance Support and Integration Services. The UAS Operational and Maintenance Services procurement consist of air vehicle pilots and mission payload operators; systems, airframe, and equipment repairs/modifications; system upgrades or engineering changes, software support services; air vehicle and mission equipment systems integration, training, material and support issues resolution and technical support services; maintaining support of ground station facilities, material and equipment procurement services and spares, Vehicle and Dismount Exploitation Radar (VADER) operational and maintenance services, urgent services, and data development and documentation. The aforementioned efforts cover both planned (routine) and unplanned (repairs) maintenance services. The UAS Hardware procurement consists of (1) replacement aircraft, associated components, and provisioned item order spares.

The total potential value of the award is $527,628,072.00 fora Base plus 4 option Years. This is a non-competitive contract action under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 a)(2)(ii) - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
