Description

The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)/Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO),
Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, awarded a sole source contract to Viasat, Inc., 6155 El Camino Real, Carlsbad, CA 92009-
1602. This action is on behalf of United States Marine Corp (USMC) Enroute Airborne Broadband Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) Support for KC-130 and MV-22 Model Aircraft Ku-Band Spread Spectrum (KuSS) Services. Required services include commercial satellite communications (COMSATCOM) managed network services for Ku-band aircraft terminals.

Authority for use of other than full and open competition: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible
source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements for USMC SATCOM C4 Support. Viasat, Inc. is the
only approved source for KC-130 and MV-22 Model Aircraft KuSS Services for the Marine mission. Viasat is the only responsible
source because Viasat is the only provider capable of providing KuSS service to Marine aircraft eqiupped with Viasat's Ku-Band terminals.
