Undermount Task Lights

Background
UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Inc. is seeking information from potential contractors to supply undermount task lighting for their Office Furniture Manufacturing Factories. The goal of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gather data that will assist in developing an Acquisition Strategy for the procurement of these lights. UNICOR's mission includes providing job training and employment opportunities for inmates, and this contract supports their office furniture production efforts.

Work Details
The contract requires the supply of various sizes of LED undermount bar task lights for use in the production of office furniture at three FPI Office Furniture Plants located in Coleman, FL; Forrest City, AR; and Ashland, KY. The specific technical specifications for the lights include:
- Sizes: 1.2" x 1/4" high by lengths of 17", 31", and 44"
- Minimum output: 700 to 800 lumens
- Energy Star rated or equivalent
- UL Rated
- Finish: Brushed Nickel/stainless
- Mounting: Must be able to mount left or right
- Power cord: Minimum length of 10'
- Minimum light distribution: 50 footcandles
- Color accuracy: 80 CRI or better
- Color temperature options: 3500K, 4500K, and 6000K
- Power consumption: 10 watts with low profile design
- Cord management clips included.
Vendors are also required to provide installation methods compatible with metal, wood, and laminate surfaces. Samples of each size along with descriptive literature must be submitted for evaluation.
