Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, is issuing a Request For Proposal (RFP) for the Unaccompanied Enlisted Personnel Housing (UEPH) project at Fort Polk, Louisiana. The project is part of the DoD's renaming commission, with Fort Polk becoming Fort Johnson in 2023.

Work Details
The project involves the design and construction of a new UEPH facility to house 220 single soldiers with a maximum gross area of 85,500 square feet. The primary facilities include living and sleeping quarters, baths, storage, service areas, information systems, fire protection and alarm systems, and Energy Monitoring Control Systems (EMCS) connection.
The project also includes site development, utilities and connections, lighting, paving, parking, walks, curbs and gutters, storm drainage, information systems, landscaping, and signage.
Heating and air conditioning will be provided by a connection to the existing energy plant. The project must comply with the Department of Defense (DoD) Minimum Antiterrorism for Buildings standards and embrace Fort Polk's Installation Design Guide requirements.

Period of Performance
The performance period is mandatory and negotiable within 900 calendar days after receiving the award notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Fort Polk (Fort Johnson after renaming) in Louisiana.
