UCAS2 Maintenance Services

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS / QUOTES / PROPOSALS. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Office of Chief Procurement Officer on behalf of the Office of Quality Operations intends to award a sole source contract for remedial/ preventative maintenance, replacement parts, software upgrades and consulting services for the sustainment and enhancement of Universal Currency Authentication Sensor, Second Generation Sensor System (UCAS2) equipment. The sensors are used in the inspection process of security documents and are proprietary to the contractor, Authentix, Inc. The Government intends to award a contract utilizing Justification & Approval in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5. Anticipated period of performance will consist of a base and four (4) 12-month option periods.

A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any cost associated with the preparation and submission of data or information or any other costs incurred in responding to this notice is the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government. Responses must be received no later than 9:00AM (Eastern), 13 September 2021.
