New Requirement for Curriculum development, policy analysis, community engagement for cultural, structural and institutional barriers for VAPIHCS

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation to support the establishment and advancement of the Center for Pacific Islander Veterans Health (CPIVH). This initiative aims to enhance healthcare access for Veterans in Hawaii, the U.S. mainland, and the Pacific Basin, addressing healthcare disparities faced by Pacific Island Veterans due to geographic, cultural, and systemic barriers. The project is authorized under various congressional mandates aimed at improving healthcare access for these populations.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide Curriculum Development, Policy Assessment, Recommendations, and Collaborative Initiatives for the VA Pacific Islands Health Care System. Specific tasks include:

1. Providing one Core Lead per month;
2. Providing two Core Co-Leads per month;
3. Providing one Program Manager per month;
4. Providing three Curriculum Specialists per month;
5. Providing two Project Director/Policy Analysts per month;
6. Coordinating one Community Engagement Meeting per month;
7. Organizing one VA Provider Summit & Training annually;
8. Conducting one Curriculum Consult per month.

All services must comply with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) attached herein.

Bidder Requirements
Offerors must demonstrate proven experience collaborating with community service organizations to address cultural, structural, and institutional barriers affecting Veterans’ health in Hawaii and the Pacific Basin. They must possess historical and geographical expertise in Pacific Island populations and cultures relevant to this role.
