Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Strategic Acquisition Center Frederick intends to issue a firm-fixed price blanket purchase agreement on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), to MammaCare, 930 NW 8th Avenue, Gainesville, Florida, 32601. The requirement is to provide education and instruction of MammaCare Clinician Led Clinical Breast Examination Simulators to train and validate clinical breast exam skills in real-time. The sole source determination is that MammaCare task trainers are currently in use by VA Nationwide. MammaCare does not distribute training resources or accredit 3rd parties to provide the required training on this equipment. As such, only MammaCare can provide the necessary instruction and training materials needed to conduct and complete this portion of the Women s Health Mini Residencies. A determination by the Government not to conduct a competitive procurement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. This is not a solicitation for competitive quotes. However, any interested party that can provide this support without adding additional mark ups or compromising the quality of services, may submit a statement of capabilities, which if timely received, will be considered. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Evidence must be provided along with the capability statement; a price list and any other information furnished in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow the Government to determine if the party can meet the requirement. This must be to the emailed to the point of contact no later than the closing date of this notice.
