FY26: Biofeedback Certification Training

Background
The VA Caribbean Healthcare System (VACHS) is seeking to implement a comprehensive Biofeedback Provider Certification Training program to enhance the delivery of evidence-based Complementary and Integrative Health (CIH) services to Veterans. This initiative aligns with VHA Directive 1137, which mandates the availability of CIH approaches, including Biofeedback, within VA medical facilities or in the community.

The program aims to improve emotional regulation, resilience, stress recovery, decision quality, and performance among behavioral health professionals and clinical staff.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a 7-week HeartMath Coherence Advantage Certification program for seven designated VACHS staff members. The training will include:
- A structured curriculum consistent with industry standards (BCIA-aligned content).
- Total of 63 hours: 24 hours self-paced, 35 hours live instruction, and 4 hours mentoring.
- Live training sessions should occur during work hours.
- All necessary training materials must be included.
- Attendance records must be provided for each session.
- The contractor must ensure that training meets nationally recognized certification criteria covering psychophysiology, HRV, stress physiology, and Biofeedback methods.
- Training must comply with VHA Directive 1137 requirements for CIH service delivery.
