Background
The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad is seeking to remediate the power plant as part of its ongoing efforts to ensure reliable energy supply for its operations.

The contract aims to engage a qualified contractor through a phased procurement process, starting with prequalification and leading to a Request for Proposal (RFP) for design-build construction services.

The selected contractor will be responsible for executing the project in accordance with the requirements set forth by the Office of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO).

Work Details
The contract encompasses comprehensive construction services including: providing construction labor and materials to execute the OBO-accepted design; on-site organization and management for overall project coordination; preparation of construction documents; quality control plans; safety plans; project schedules; cost estimates; and project close-out activities.

Design services required may include architecture, civil, structural, geo-technical, seismic, blast, mechanical, electrical, telecommunication, fire protection engineering, space planning, interior design, systems furniture design and integration, signage, physical and technical security measures, vertical transportation solutions, lighting design, landscape design, cost estimating, value engineering, and administrative coordination among various disciplines involved.

The contractor will also need to complete all design and engineering documents based on specific design direction provided in the RFP.

The construction projects will be performed at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.
