U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Law Enforcement Safety & Compliance (LESC) Directorate 9mm Duty and Reduced Hazard Qualification Ammunition   3

Background
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Law Enforcement Safety & Compliance (LESC) Directorate is seeking to procure 9mm Duty and Reduced Hazard Qualification ammunition to support the mission of its officers and agents, as well as other agencies within and outside the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

This contract will be awarded and administered by CBP.

Work Details
The contract includes the procurement of two types of 9mm Luger ammunition:
1) 9mm Duty Ammunition, which must have a readily identifiable color, and
2) 9mm Reduced Hazard Qualification Ammunition, which must consist of a lead-free/heavy metal free primer and a lead-free frangible projectile.

The contractor is required to provide administrative support including customer service, shipping (FOB destination), invoicing/payment support, and a quality control plan specific to both types of ammunition. All ammunition must conform to SAAMI specifications for 9mm Luger and be fully compatible with CBP service Glock handguns. The contractor must ensure that no component has been previously used or reloaded, and they must manufacture the entire estimated quantity at their facility. The contractor shall provide technical specifications, performance test data, and undergo testing at an NIJ-approved laboratory. Each submission requires 27,000 rounds of Duty Ammunition and 10,000 rounds of Reduced Hazard Qualification Ammunition for testing purposes.

Place of Performance
The ammunition will be delivered to various locations as determined by CBP.
