SPECIAL NOTICE: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District (USACE) will be soliciting proposals for the construction of the Army Reserve Center and associated secondary facilities located in Asheville, North Carolina. As part of the construction contract solicitation, the USACE intends to include the following sole source requirements:

Natural Gas Utility: Dominion Energy is the only provider of the natural gas utility service in the vicinity of the U.S. Army Reserve Center in Asheville, NC.

Electrical Utility Connection Services: Duke Energy is the only provider of the natural gas utility service in the vicinity of the U.S. Army Reserve Center in Asheville, NC.

Fire Alarm Cell Dialer Equipment: The contract solicitation will include a sole-source brand requirement for Johnson Controls LTE Universal Wireless Commercial Fire Alarm Communicator that will need to be compatible with the current installation network. Johnson Controls equipment is necessary in order to ensure compatibility with the current installation wide USAR network. Johnson Controls equipment will ensure consistent technology and meet the Army Reserve criteria.
