1.9.2 Data Acquisition
1.9.2.1 The contractor shall identify data sources that are relevant to PA initiatives.
1.9.2.2 The contractor shall negotiate data use agreements with data providers to
secure access to the required data.
1.9.2.3 The contractor shall manage the delivery of data from data providers to the
PDE or other target databases.
1.9.2.4 Additional example data acquisition tasks include:
- Conducting data inventory and assessment to determine availability and quality of
data sources
- Developing data sharing agreements with data providers
- Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical requirements for data use
- Establishing processes for ongoing data acquisition and integration into the PDE or
other target databases
1.9.3 ETL Data Processing
1.9.3.1 The contractor shall execute the transfer, transformation, and loading (ETL)
of data identified by Data Acquisition for load into the PDE or other target databases.
1.9.3.2 The contractor shall ensure that ETL processes are executed accurately and in a timely manner.
1.9.3.3 Additional example ETL data processing tasks include:
- Extracting data from source systems using appropriate tools and techniques
- Transforming data to conform to the required format and structure for analysis or research purposes
